Updates / Upgrades
Windows: To update/upgrade your existing version of WizTree, simply download and run the installer at the top of this page - you don't need to uninstall the older version first. If you're using the portable version, download the portable zip file above and unzip over your old WizTree files.
MacOS: To update/upgrade your existing version of WizTreeMac, simply download the WizTreeMac dmg file at the top of this page. Double click the file after downloading, then drag the WizTreeMac icon into the Applications icon.
WizTree 4.33 (16 September 2026)
- •WizTree is now available for macOS 12 or later and is called "WizTreeMac". WizTreeMac 1.00 includes most of the functionality in WizTree 4.33 - See here for more info
- •Updated to support import/export of CSV files generated by WizTreeMac
- •macOS allows double quotes in file names and these are "escaped" as 2 repeated double quote chars, e.g. file name Say "Hello".txt will be written to the CSV file as "Say ""Hello"".txt"
- •This version can also handle the macOS root folder "/" correctly when importing
- •Startup screen will now display a "ready to scan" message along with some explanatory text about using the app, along with license information if the application has any
- •Missing translation items (if any) have been updated for all languages
- •Copy/Cut was not working in the text box when renaming a file - fixed
